2023 was the year of the breakthrough of generative AI. Generative AI uses Large Language Models and these models appear to be able to generate code very well. What effect will this have on the software developer profession in the medium term? Will software developers soon become redundant? Can anyone develop software with the help of AI? In this talk I will take you through the (im)possibilities of AI for software development and my vision on the future of software development, with AI.
